TOKYO, April 30 (Reuters) – Japan’s factory output rose 2.2% in March, government data showed on Friday, compared with a median market forecast for a 2.0% decline.

Manufacturers surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry expect output to advance 8.4% in April and fall 4.3% in May, the data showed.
