TOKYO — Japan’s Sakura Internet has secured around 20 billion yen worth ($130 million) of Nvidia’s next-generation B200 chips as part of its investment to strengthen domestic artificial intelligence computing power, the company said on Friday.

The announcement comes a month after Nvidia said it will ship B200 chips by end of the year and amid a push by Tokyo to boost development of Japan-made AI.
