Snow Peak, which offers a range of outdoor products, plans to go private in a push to overhaul parts of its business.
TOKYO — Japanese outdoor goods maker Snow Peak plans to go private under a management buyout worth 50 billion yen ($333 million) and is teaming up with U.S. investment fund Bain Capital to conduct a tender offer, Nikkei has learned.
The move, expected to be announced next week, comes as the company looks to speed up structural reforms amid faltering demand for outdoor products.
