TOKYO — Sojitz has won an order for electrification systems for a high-speed rail project in India, the Japanese trading house announced Tuesday.
Sojitz is partnering with Indian contractor Larsen & Toubro. Construction will begin by March and a completion date has yet to be set. The size of the contract is undisclosed but is estimated at hundreds of billions of yen (100 billion yen equals $681 million).
