Active emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring are now standard safety features on the 2022 Jeep Compass, as well as optional 10-inch inside screens and a driver-assist highway system. The brand’s best-selling vehicle worldwide is the small Compass SUV. In the fall, the new model will be available in North American showrooms for $24,995, which is $500 more than the current model. Jeep Compass 2022 Jeep The new features and redesigned design, according to Jim Morrison, Jeep’s North American president, are meant to make the Compass “even more desirable” in the increasingly competitive small SUV sector. Many of the upgrades focused on the vehicle’s interior design and electronics, while the exterior received minor tweaks to better resemble Jeep’s other SUVs. Chris Benjamin, Jeep’s North American head of interior design, said, “Our goal was to raise consumer expectations of what a compact SUV interior should look and feel like.” A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is coupled to a six- or nine-speed automated transmission in the car, which is manufactured in Mexico. The vehicle’s combined fuel economy is 25 mpg, with 22 mpg in the city and up to 31 mpg on the highway. Jeep’s Compass is an essential SUV. Along with the smaller Renegade SUV, it serves as a gateway vehicle for new and younger buyers to the brand. Jeep Compass 2022 Jeep will reveal the 2022 Compass at the Chicago Auto Show on Wednesday. It makes its debut less than a week after its parent company, Stellantis, announced a $35.5 billion investment in car electrification. According to management, the investment includes an all-electric Jeep in every SUV segment. In the United States, Jeep currently only provides a plug-in hybrid electric version of their Wrangler SUV. It also aims to release a plug-in hybrid version of its Grand Cherokee later this year. In Europe, PHEV versions of the Jeep Compass and Jeep Renegade SUVs are currently available. However, Jeep has not stated whether or not those models will be available in the United States. PHEVs use plug-in battery technology in conjunction with traditional internal combustion engines, whereas EVs rely only on batteries and electric motors. Jeep’s electrified cars are dubbed “4xe” models, a play on the brand’s off-road heritage paired with electrification. Stellantis was founded in January as a result of a $52 billion merger between Fiat Chrysler and PSA Groupe. Jeep, Ram, Opel, Fiat, Peugeot, and Maserati are among its 14 brands./nRead More
