KUALA LUMPUR, 14 JULY: Today’s opening of the Bursa Malaysia was higher, extending yesterday’s bargain-hunting actions in a few areas of the broader market.
The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 1.66 points higher at 1,521.22 at 9:05 a.m., compared to a finish of 1,519.56 on Tuesday.
The market’s leading indicator rose 1.21 points to 1,520.77.
Gainers and losers on the broader market were even at 161, with 295 counters unchanged, 1,610 untraded, and nine others halted.
The number of units sold grew to 453.91 million, valued RM165.38 million.
