Electric vehicle manufacturer Lotus Technology began delivering its first all-electric crossover, the Eletre, in China on Wednesday at a starting price of RMB 828,000 ($120,717), becoming the latest player in the country’s premium EV sector. The automaker also plans to explore the global market, with deliveries expected to begin in the UK and other European countries later this year. Wuhan-based Lotus Tech builds luxury EVs under the UK-founded Lotus brand. China’s Zhejiang Geely Holding Group acquired a majority stake in the parent company of the historic British sports car brand in September 2017.
