Kai Pfaffenbach/Kai Pfaffenbach/Kai Pfaffenbach/Kai Pfa Reuters, FRANKFURT, July 14 – Passenger counts at Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) are currently at 40% of pre-pandemic levels, with the German carrier aiming for 60-70 percent by the end of the year, according to a manager. “We started the summer with roughly 10% fewer passengers and 15% fewer flights than we had before the crisis,” Jens Fehlinger remarked. Lufthansa is now operating around 55% of its previously scheduled flights. It serves 192 destinations, which is up from 192 in summer 2019, however several routes are flown less frequently.
