KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 5): According to the EY 2021 Work Reimagined Employee poll, the majority of Malaysian employees favor flexible working arrangements following the Covid-19 outbreak.
More than 16,000 employees from 16 countries, including Malaysia, participated in the global poll.
According to the poll, nine out of ten Malaysian employees demand flexibility in where and when they work, and nearly half, or 45 percent, would contemplate abandoning their jobs following the Covid-19 pandemic, according to EY.
“Only 22% of Malaysian employees questioned would prefer to work from home full-time if pandemic limits were lifted locally,” it stated.
Employers that promote hybrid work arrangements and provide employees the option to work anywhere and at any time, according to EY ASEAN and Malaysia people advisory services leader Tan Lay Keng, are ahead of the curve.
“These firms are likely to be more successful in this new normal by investing in collaboration technologies, providing employee perks that enable home office set-up, and establishing a strong teaming culture,” she added./nRead More
