KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 6): Malaysia distributed 313,761 Covid-19 vaccination doses yesterday (July 5), surpassing the 300,000 mark for the first time.
This was in accordance with the government’s goal of administering 300,000 doses per day on average in July and 400,000 doses per day in August.
According to the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), 196,603 first doses and 117,158 second doses were provided yesterday, according to data from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).
Selangor had the highest number of daily injections (67,735) among the states and federal territories, followed by Sarawak (56,068) and Kuala Lumpur (56,068). (48,477).
So far, a total of 9.32 million doses of Covid-19 vaccination have been provided across the country.
To date, 2.74 million people have been fully vaccinated, accounting for 8.37 percent of the country’s 32.72 million inhabitants.

Meanwhile, 6.59 million people had got their first dose, accounting for 20.14 percent of the population.
Sarawak had the most first-dose recipients (1.23 million), followed by Kuala Lumpur (1.19 million) and Selangor (1.18 million) (1.14 million).
