KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia announced on Thursday that it has selected Ericsson, a Swedish telecommunications giant, as a partner in the development of its 5G network and ecosystem. According to a statement from state-owned Digital Nasional Berhad, which is in charge of the project, Ericsson will be responsible for the end-to-end development of the network in Malaysia for a total cost of 11 billion ringgit (US$2.65 billion).
