KUALA LUMPUR, 13 JULY: Yesterday (July 12), Malaysia’s daily immunization rate surpassed 400,000 for the first time, with 421,479 Covid-19 vaccine doses administered. Since the country began its vaccine campaign in late February, this is the biggest number yet.
The daily figure was 419,650 at 10 p.m. yesterday, before climbing to 421,479 by 11.59 p.m.
In August, Putrajaya sought to increase the country’s vaccination rate to 400,000 per day.
According to the latest tweets by the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), citing statistics from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, 264,034 of the newest doses were for persons who received their first jab, while 157,445 were for second doses (CITF).
Selangor had the greatest number of daily first dose shots (75,213) among the states and federal territories on Monday, followed by Kuala Lumpur (45,889) and Sarawak (45,889). (29,691).
