KUALA LUMPUR, 16 JULY: According to Malaysia’s Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the number of Covid-19 cases has dropped to 12,541 today, down from an all-time high of 13,215 yesterday.
Since the epidemic began, the country has reported 893,323 Covid-19 cases.
Selangor continued to have the largest number of new infections (5512), followed by Negeri Sembilan (1,619) and Kuala Lumpur (1,542).
Johor had the most daily cases with 609, followed by Melaka (575), Kedah (458), Sarawak (423), Pahang (382), Penang (376), Sabah (326), Perak (299), Kelantan (225), and Terengganu (225). (102).
