KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 2): Yesterday (July 1), Malaysia gave 263,012 doses of Covid-19 vaccination, up from 258,773 doses the day before.
According to the latest tweets by the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), citing data from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force, 178,148 people received their first doses and 84,864 people received their second doses yesterday (CITF).
The seven-day moving average of Covid-19 immunization, on the other hand, fell to 217,656 doses from 218,455 the day before. This is noticeably behind the government’s original objective of administering an average of 300,000 doses of Covid-19 vaccine per day in July and 400,000 doses per day in August.
According to JKJAV, a total of 8.35 million Covid-19 vaccine doses have been delivered across the country thus far, with 5.95 million initial doses and 2.39 million second doses.

In other words, as of yesterday, 18.2 percent of the population had received their first dose, while 7.3 percent had been fully immunized.
