KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 4): According to data released today by the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), Malaysia gave 217,807 doses of Covid-19 vaccine yesterday (July 3), down from 236,196 doses on July 2. According to JKJAV, 141,140 of the 217,807 doses were supplied to first-dose recipients, with the remaining doses going to 76,667 second-dose users.
Covid-19 vaccine had a seven-day moving average of 224,822, up from 220,546 the day before.
As of yesterday, a total of 8.8 million vaccine doses have been provided, with 2.54 million Malaysians (7.8% of the population) fully immunized and 3.72 million (19.2%) receiving their first vaccination.

Sarawak, which remained the state with the most cumulative first-dose receivers, now had 1.18 million, or 41.8 percent of its population, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1.12 million, or 63.4 percent, and Selangor with 1.06 million, or 16.3 percent.
Selangor led the way with 342,667 shots given out, accounting for 5.2 percent of the population, followed by Sarawak with 278,528 shots, accounting for 9.9 percent of the population.
Yesterday, the country’s new Covid-19 cases totaled 6,658, with 107 deaths confirmed, bringing the total death toll to 5,677.
The number of active cases increased to 69,958, with daily recoveries coming in at 5,677, which was lower than daily infections. The overall number of Covid-19 infections detected in Malaysia has risen to 772,607, with 700,215 total recoveries./nRead More
