CYBERJAYA (July 9): -A +A The public has been warned about the distribution of incorrect information about the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) advised them to double-check all vaccination information with the Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV), Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF), and their local District Health Offices.
“Providing personal information to unknown parties can also expose the risk of personal information exploitation and privacy breach,” it stated today in a statement.

The statement was released in response to a post that went viral on WhatsApp and social media announcing large-scale vaccination at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre (BACC) vaccination center and urging anyone who wish to acquire the vaccine to provide their personal information.
The information was untrue, according to the Hulu Langat District Health Office’s Facebook page.
