KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 10): The Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) feels that the current administration is doing everything it can in the face of the pandemic. Its president, Datuk Dr Syed Hussain Syed Husman, stated that maintaining political stability in Malaysia is vital at times of crisis, as any volatility would benefit no one and would impede the country’s success against Covid-19.
In a statement released today, he urged all parties involved to put the lives and livelihoods of the people first, and urged the government to focus on Covid-19 management.
“In order for the rakyat to earn a living, we must urgently open up the economy with a rigorous focus on afflicted areas of the industry.”
Because the Covid-19 scenario is so fluid, flexible, and practical, he emphasized that “fast-changing solutions that are fluid, flexible, and practical must be put in place from time to time.”
Industry stakeholders, professional medical practitioners, and other specialists must be involved in the development of the strategies in order for the emphasis areas to be addressed and action plans to be implemented, he said./nRead More
