(July 10) SHAH ALAM: The Selangor Health Department (JKNS) has refuted social media rumors that Selayang Hospital is low on oxygen tanks and that a fund has been set up to purchase them.
Selangor Health director Datuk Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman said on JKNS’ Facebook page that Selayang Hospital has a total of 1,325 ports and that there are enough oxygen cylinders at the time.
“There has been no fund initiative by any Selayang Hospital workers to collect funds (to purchase oxygen tanks),” he noted. “The hospital administration and staff had also never asked any party to collect funds on the hospital’s behalf.”
Meanwhile, Selayang Hospital disputed on Facebook that it was experiencing an oxygen supply deficit.
“The public has been warned by JKNS to be aware of unconfirmed social media postings and not to spread them.” If you have any questions, please contact Selayang Hospital immediately,” the posting stated.
