KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 6): Only enterprises identified as important services under the National Security Council’s (MKN) standard operating procedures (SOPs) are permitted to use the new Covid-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0 letter in areas under Phases 1 and 2 of the National Recovery Plan.
The new CIMS 3.0 letter will feature the NRP’s Malay acronym PPN under its QR code, according to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
Companies on the essential services list, however, can move in enhanced movement control order (EMCO) areas using the existing CIMS 3.0 letter with the acronym PKP 3.0 under the QR code, as announced by Senior Minister of Defence Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on July 1, the ministry said in a statement today.
Companies in EMCO zones that aren’t on MKN’s list of essential services aren’t allowed to operate at all, according to MITI.
Each application will be evaluated and authorized by them according to their individual portfolios on the CIMS 3.0 platform, which is shared by 17 ministries and three agencies.
