Proton Holdings Bhd has seen over 40,000 bookings for the X50 since its launch in October 2020 till the end of March 2021. A Proton spokesperson told The Edge that while the group had expected the X50 to garner a lot of interest, the actual response and subsequent demand was far beyond its projections
