PUTRAJAYA (July 5): -A +A According to Khairy Jamaluddin, Coordinating Minister of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), the Covid-19 vaccine can be provided to overseas-bound students who have achieved the age of 18 this year with their parents’ agreement.
“For this aim, their parents or guardians will be needed to sign the consent form,” he said today at a joint press briefing on PICK development with Health Minister Dr Adham Baba.
Khairy had previously stated that overseas-bound students can register for early vaccination via the MySejahtera app, and that a new function had been added to the app’s ‘Helpdesk’ to make the application for vaccination for the group easier.

So far, he said, 8,615 immunization appointment dates have been established for those early applications received from overseas-bound students.
Meanwhile, he said that additional 21 vaccination centers (PPVs) opened today, each having a capacity of up to 5,000 vaccinations per day.
Sekolah Menengah Tengku Ampuan Afzan in Chenor, Pahang; Movenpick Hotel & Convention Centre KLIA in Sepang; and Kuala Langat Municipal Council Sports Complex in Selangor are just a few of the PPVs.
