HSBC hires UBS’s Gautam Anand
HSBC has hired Gautam Anand, managing director of UBS, as global coordinator for India, the Middle East, North Africa and Europe, reported Bloomberg News on Tuesday.
Anand’s appointment is part of HSBC’s efforts to strengthen its wealth management team in South Asia, added the report.
Anand has been the managing director of UBS since January this year. Before that he was the managing director of Credit Suisse, heading the firm’s wealth management unit for Non-Resident Indian (NRI).
Blackstone’s Jonny Bauer to launch brand agency
Blackstone executive Jonny Bauer is set to launch a brand agency, FundamentalCo, early next year, according to Bloomberg News.
Bauer’s team at Blackstone will be joining him, while American fashion designer Jenna lyons will be the executive creative director, as per the report.
FundamentalCo will have Blackstone as its client to help the firm enhance its brand image, added the report.
Jonny Bauer is currently the managing director at Blackstone’s portfolio operations unit. He leads the brand and business strategy in Blackstone’s Brand Strategy and transformation practice for its portfolio companies.
