KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 1): Pfizer Inc, an American global pharmaceutical corporation, announced today that it will exclusively offer central governments and supranational organizations like as COVAX with its Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine for use in national vaccination programs. Pfizer Inc. and its global affiliates have not approved anybody to import, market, or distribute the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine, according to a statement released today.
“All of our current Covid-19 vaccine supply agreements are with government agencies to combat the global health pandemic. We believe they are in the best position to deliver vaccines fairly and equally among their populations during a pandemic.
“At this time, there is no authorized private distributor of our vaccine anywhere in the world.” It stated that “the quality and efficacy of any vaccination going through any non-authorized channels cannot be guaranteed and should be regarded as questionable, potentially placing lives in danger.”
It also stated that it has worked closely with the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) in Malaysia since the start of the pandemic and is committed to providing Malaysians with a safe and secure supply of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
