Polygon and Community Gaming have teamed up to help esports competitions grow in size.
Unlike previous tournaments, the cooperation will result in numerous enhancements, including quick payouts for victors.
Polygon and Community Gaming have teamed up to help esports competitions gain traction. Tournament organizers will find it easier to launch their esports competitions into the Polygon Network thanks to the agreement between Polygon and Community Gaming. To operate on Community Gaming, organizers no longer need to be familiar with the functionalities of wallets or smart contracts. In addition, the new enhancement would enable players to make quick payments.
Tournaments on Community Gaming are simple to organize because to the mix of social gaming, match automation, and blockchain payment technology. The platform was designed with grassroots event organizers in mind, making the creation of custom esports tournaments a breeze.
Following the agreement with Polygon, the first Community Gaming Tournaments were held.
The first tournaments have already been launched on the Polygon Network’s Community Gaming platform. A “Gods Unchained Tournament” by nftwizard and a “Axe Infinity Tournament” by Axie.gg are among the competitions. In the Gods Unchained Tournament, each team must have one player, however in the Axie Infinity Tournament, each team must have three players.
The first official Polygon-powered event will take place in August, following the agreement between Polygon and Community Gaming. The event will be called Skyweaver, and the prize pool will be $2,500 in MATIC, according to the release. Polygon Network and Horizon Games’ Skyweaver NFTs will be the sponsors of the Polygon-powered event.
Those interested in witnessing the event can do so via Community Gaming’s Twitch account, which will be live-streamed. The competition will feature a number of well-known Skyweaver personalities who will be commentating and competing.
Community Gaming is an esports infrastructure company that works with gamers, organizers, and game creators. The all-in-one platform, with its user interface and blockchain payment technology, provides infrastructure for esports tournament design, facilitation, and participation.
A big number of gamers compete against one another monthly for prize pools denominated in various cryptocurrencies. MATIC, ETH, and USDC are some of the cryptos used to fund the prize pools.
Winning Instant payments will be available to players.
The competition winners are paid through a transaction. This transaction takes less than 3 seconds to complete and costs 0.0012 MATIC on average. When compared to regular tournament payouts, the wins payment is exceptional. Payments for classic competitions take days, if not weeks. Organizers also have to go through the laborious procedure of sending money one by one.
For event organizers on our platform, this connection means being able to quickly develop, administer, and enable tournament payments with sub-penny transaction costs in any region, according to Chris Gonsalves, CEO of Community Gaming.
Sandeep Nailwal, Polygon’s COO and co-founder, also commented on the cooperation with Community Gaming. With fast and inexpensive payments combined with secure and restless on-chain transactions, we continue to bridge the gap between decentralized technologies and the competitive gaming community, according to Nailwal.
Notably, the announcement of the Community Gaming-Polygon cooperation came after Community Gaming received $2.3 million in a startup fundraising round. CoinFund, an investment firm, and other crypto investors spearheaded the funding round. Animoca Brands, Warburg Serres, Draper Labs, Thirty Five Ventures, Play Ventures, and others are among the investors in the round.
