KUALA LUMPUR, 14 JULY: Starting at midnight on July 28, the retail price of RON97 fuel would increase by three sen to RM2.73 per litre, up from RM2.70 before, while the prices of RON95 petrol and diesel will stay unchanged.
According to a statement released today by the Finance Ministry, the retail price of RON95 will continue at RM2.05 per litre, while the price of diesel will remain at RM2.15 per litre.
The costs, according to the announcement, are based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism’s weekly retail pricing of petroleum products (APM).
“To safeguard customers from the consequences of actual oil prices in the global market, the government has maintained retail pricing of RON95 gasoline and diesel, despite the fact that actual market prices for both products have increased over the statutory ceiling price level,” the statement added.
The Finance Ministry stated that the government will continue to watch the global crude oil price trend and take appropriate actions to guarantee that the people’s welfare and well-being were protected./nRead More
