On Saturday, Sabah will enter Phase Two of the PPN — DPM -A +A
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 8): On Saturday, Sabah became the latest state to enter Phase Two of the National Recovery Plan (PPN).
In making the announcement, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated that the conclusion was reached after considering the State’s threshold values.
“After achieving the three main threshold value indicators that have been set, the National Security Council (MKN) has agreed for Sabah to move into the next phase,” he said in a statement on the PPN’s development today. “Further information on Phase Two of the PPN can be obtained via the National Security Council (MKN) website at www.mkn.gov.my.”
Ismail Sabri, who is also the Defence Minister, earlier stated that from July 5, five states, namely Kelantan, Terengganu, Perak, Pahang, and Perlis, would enter Phase Two of the PPN.
He said yesterday that the government has decided for Penang to enter Phase Two of the PPN on July 7.
