The VeChain vaccination certificate based on eNFT has been announced by San Marion.
Two QR codes on the immunization certificate can expose information about the holder’s COVID-related medical history.
The Republic of San Marino has authorized VeChain’s eNFT immunization certificate, which is globally verifiable. San Marino announced in a news release that it had approved “Decree-Law no. 109 of 16 June.” The new law supports the implementation of a vaccination passport known as the “San Marino Digital Covid Certificate.”
Each San Marino immunization certificate will indicate the bearer’s history of previous diseases. Negative test results are also included in the vaccination passport, which also comes with a digital immunization certificate.

The Republic of San Marino cooperated with the VeChain Foundation and DNV Assurance to issue digital COVID-19 vaccination certificates. The digital certificates will be issued by San Marino using eNFT, a type of digital asset on the VeChainThor blockchain.
In a tweet, the VeChain Foundation stated:
We are pleased to announce the world’s first national level 3NFT adoption, in collaboration with DNV Assurance:
The Republic of San Marino has today accepted the Digital COVID Certificate, which is issued using NFTs on the public blockchain VeChainThor.
Renato Grottola, DNV’s worldwide director of Growth and Innovation, spoke on the usage of VeChain’s blockchain technology. According to Grottola, blockchain technology and NFTs have increased trust in the authenticity of the information supplied on the certificate. He also mentioned that the technology is being used in a way that lessens the concern of counterfeiting.
In addition, each vaccination certificate provided in San Marion is valid for one week after the first dosage and for 15 days after the second dose. The certificate would be valid for 9 months after the second injection, according to the VeChain Foundation. Authorized entities can provide certifications based on the choices of users. The certificate can be printed or downloaded in digital format.
The digital COVID certificate, according to Lorenzo Spadoni, President of San Marino Innovation, is an important tool that aligns the country with “technological standards utilized by the European Union.” The accreditation, according to Spadoni, aids San Marino’s comprehensive interoperability.

In addition, the certificate contains two QR codes that, when scanned, expose the holder’s entire COVID-related medical history. The first code meets with European Union regulations and requirements. Only authorized persons, such as member state entities, can verify the code. The second QR code, on the other hand, can be scanned by anyone outside the EU. The second QR code likewise leads to an app that may be used to validate the code’s authenticity. According to the VeChain Foundation:
This is accomplished by connecting to a Non-Fungible Token (NFT), which is a one-of-a-kind, non-repeatable certificate of digital authenticity that guarantees immutability and accessibility and is published on the VeChainThor public blockchain.
Members of the VeChain community have reacted to the announcement of the San Marino eNFT immunization certificate. The alliance has been described as “the largest widespread deployment of blockchain in recent history,” according to one of the members.
VeChain worked with the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus earlier this year to store immunization information on the blockchain. VeChain Foundation announced on the 5th of January that it had secured the first 100 COVID-10 immunization records for medical staff on its public blockchain in a tweet.
