KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 5): Under the SelVAX Industry program, the Selangor government hopes to vaccinate one million industrial workers. The program, which is part of the Selangor Vaccination Programme (SelVAX), is offered to enterprises or industries willing to pay for their employees’ vaccinations.
SelVAX stated in a statement today that the two pills per person will cost RM350.
Companies registered or operating in Selangor and the Klang Valley, as well as those in essential sectors recognized by the National Security Council and those with a high number of employees, will be given precedence, according to the statement.

Water, power, and energy are industries, as are health food and beverage factories, as well as grocery, beverage, and basic daily essentials factories.

Companies who participate in SelVAX Industry are not authorized to charge their employees for vaccinations as part of the program.
“Participating companies/employers in the SelVAX Industry are not permitted to resell the appointment slots they have secured to other companies/individuals,” SelVAX stated.
“The needs of industry in the manufacturing and service sectors will be prioritized, with factories and enterprises with the most employees receiving priority, subject to acceptance of the offer and its processes. SMEs [small and medium firms] with fewer than 200 employees will, however, be included in the program at the same time “It was also added.
SelVAX Industry’s first phase began on June 26. From July 25 to the end of October, the second phase will be implemented.
SelVAX stated it will also administer the SelVAX Industry vaccination procedure through SELGATE Healthcare Sdn Bhd’s SELCARE panel clinics in Selangor and the Klang Valley, as well as through the workplace immunization program (subject to the suitability of the hall/location).
According to SelVAX, the highest vaccination rate capacity in these sites is 40,000 doses per day.
Tropicana Gardens Mall in Kota Damansara, Evo Mall in Bandar Baru Bangi, Hotel De Palma in Shah Alam, Kompleks Sukan PKNS in Kelana Jaya, and Aurora Place in Bukit Jalil are the five immunization centers for the SelVAX Industry.
SelVAX was recently accepted as one of the National Covid-19 Immunization Program’s supporting programs (PICK).
Malaysia had provided 9.01 million Covid-19 immunization doses as of yesterday (July 4), according to the Special Committee for Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV), which cited data from the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).
Sarawak had the most first doses provided, with 1.2 million, followed by Kuala Lumpur with 1.15 million, according to the CITF.
