KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 6): According to CGS-CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd, Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd was the top net buy stock on Bursa Malaysia last week, as the group of investors remained the largest net buyer of Malaysian stocks for the fifth week in a row. CGS-CIMB analyst Ivy Ng Lee Fang said in a note today that retail investors’ net acquisition of engineering solutions company Serba Dinamik shares for the week ended Friday was valued at RM109.6 million (July 2).
“For the seventh week in a row, retail investors were the greatest net purchases. They did, however, cut their net buy flows in equities by 47% to RM311 million. They were the greatest net energy and utility purchasers (shares).
Serba Dinamik, Tenaga (Nasional Bhd), and Public Bank (Bhd) were the top three net purchase companies for retail investors this week, according to Ng.
Retail investors’ net purchases of Tenaga and Public Bank shares totaled RM64.5 million and RM46.6 million, respectively, according to her.
CIMB Group Holdings Bhd was the top net sell stock on Bursa last week, followed by Saudee Group Bhd, Pertama Digital Bhd, and VS Industry Bhd, according to Ng.
According to her, the net sale value of CIMB and Saudee shares by retail investors was RM21.5 million and RM15.2 million, respectively.
According to her, retail investors’ net sales of Pertama and VS shares were RM9.2 million.
Serba Dinamik was the most active stock on Bursa today, with 784 million shares exchanged.
Serba Dinamik’s share price finished up 2.5 sen, or 5.15 percent, at 51 sen at the bourse’s 12:30pm break, for a market value of around RM1.89 billion based on its 3.71 billion issued shares./nRead More
