KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 10): According to Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda, the special Parliamentary session slated to begin on July 26 should focus entirely on problems concerning the welfare of the people, rather than party politics, which could jeopardize the government’s stability (Armada). Any attempt to topple Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, even by filing a motion of no confidence, according to Armada head Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal, might result in the general election (GE) being held in the midst of a raging Covid-19 pandemic.
“We all know the election must be held, but not now… ‘Hold your guns and please be patient,’ Armada is imploring all Members of Parliament, particularly those from UMNO.” Allow the National Recovery Plan to run its course; then we’ll look for ways to dissolve Parliament and hold the election at the appropriate time.
“First, help us solve the Covid-19 crisis… take pity on the people,” Bersatu Youth president Fendy Adlun told reporters today after meeting Caliph Buskers drummer Fendy Adlun, whose income has been hampered by the pandemic for over a year.
According to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office on Monday, the Dewan Rakyat will meet for five days beginning July 26 and the Dewan Negara for three days beginning August 3./nRead More
