KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (July 5): Solarvest Holdings Bhd has been awarded a contract to build a large-scale solar photovoltaic project in Perak’s Kerian area worth RM42.9 million.
Solar Citra Sdn Bhd, an electric energy producing company owned by MK Land Resources Sdn Bhd, was granted the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning contract for the 10.95 megawatt facility.
Solarvest said in a bourse filing that the project will begin on July 8 and be finished on December 30 next year.
The contract is expected to boost the company’s net assets and profitability in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2022 (FY22) and subsequent years, according to the company.
The share price of Solarvest remained constant at RM1.20 today, valuing the company at RM760.74 million. 2.22 million shares were traded on the counter.
