TOKYO — Sony Group has retained its challenging sales target for PlayStation 5 in the year ending in March 2024 — continuing with the existing plan to sell a record 25 million units.

“Without doubt, this remains an ambitious goal for us,” said Sony Group President Hiroki Totoki during an online earnings briefing on Thursday. “We still would like to stick to this with demand for new models.”
