With the four astronauts aboard SpaceX’s Dragon capsule hurtling toward the International Space Station for a six-month stay, back here on earth, the fledgling commercial space industry is getting a boost from the launch as well.
This is the second crewed flight for SpaceX. In 2020, astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley piloted a mission demonstrating SpaceX capabilities. This time four astronauts are on board: Shane Kimbrough, Megan McArthur, Akihiko Hoshide and Thomas Pesquet.
