Stocks finished the day higher on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq Composite all setting new highs after June jobs data revealed the US economy added 850,000 jobs. According to early statistics, the Dow DJIA, +0.44 percent climbed roughly 165 points, or 0.5 percent, to close above 34,798, surpassing its previous high of 34,777.76 set on May 7. The S& The Nasdaq Composite COMP, +0.81% gained almost 120 points to close near 14,642, up 0.8 percent. The Dow gained 1.1 percent this week, the S&P 500 climbed 1.7 percent, and the Nasdaq gained 2%.
