STOCKHOLM – A Swedish information technology company reported on Tuesday that a database containing patient data, including COVID-19 test results, had been hacked, but it was unclear whether any information had been disclosed. InfoSolutions said in a statement that it discovered a breach last week, but that it had since “identified and resolved what made the intrusion possible.” “It cannot be ruled out that personal data has been read,” it added, adding that no information had been lost or altered. For the Public Health Agency, which has shut down the database twice in recent months and reported suspected breaches to the police, the firm supplies digital journals, including test results, for 15 of Sweden’s 21 districts.
