BANGKOK: Thailand’s manufacturing production index (MPI) increased for the third month in a row in May, up 25.84 percent from a year ago, thanks to increased output of autos, air conditioners, and electronics, according to the industry ministry. The number, which is still off a low base from last year, was lower than a Reuters poll’s prediction of a 19.55 percent growth and April’s revised 17.97 percent increase.
