Melbourne’s livability features, such as safety, health care, culture, and leisure activities, as well as its remote working infrastructure, all received good marks. It was also one of only ten cities in Nestpick’s rankings to grant a “digital nomad” visa, which is a special visa or comparable document that allows self-employed and foreign-employed remote workers to enter the nation and work. Zagreb, Prague, Lisbon, Reykjavik, Tallinn, Athens, Sydney, Dubai, and Mexico City were among the others. Nestpick’s survey included 75 cities from around the world, which the platform selected based on the regions that were frequently regarded as “most livable” destinations. Costs and infrastructure, legislation and liberties, and livability were all considered when the cities were graded. For example, in terms of expenses and infrastructure, this included a review of the cost and availability of suitable home office space. In Melbourne, the average monthly rent for a one-bedroom apartment was 681 euros ($807). The most expensive home office room rent was found in San Francisco, California, at 1,736 euros per month, while the cheapest average rent was found in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at 119 euros per month. In addition, Nestpick looked at the percentage of each city’s population that is fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to see how governments are responding to the ongoing health threat. The coronavirus pandemic, according to Omer Kucukdere, CEO of Nestpick, has caused many people to reconsider their personal priorities, showing the benefits of remote working flexibility and raising the question, “Is it really possible to work from anywhere?” Kucukdere also pointed out that the epidemic had caused high-earners to flee “business-focused cities” in search of “better day-to-day lifestyles, bringing their purchasing power with them.” Here’s a list of the top ten cities for working remotely: Melbourne is a city in Australia.
