On June 21, top executives from chip foundry TSMC will visit Shanghai to attend the company’s annual tech forum called “China Technology Symposium” and meet several important clients, according to Economic Daily News, a news agency in Taiwan. Dr. C. C. Wei, Chief Executive Officer of TSMC; Dr. Kevin Zhang, Senior Vice President of Business Development; and Dr. Cliff Hou, Senior Vice President of Europe and Asia Sales and Corporate Research under Research and Development (R&D), will personally present TSMC’s future technology trends and capacity planning at the event. This year’s forum is the first in-person TSMC event in mainland China since the start of the pandemic, and therefore marks the first public appearance of TSMC’s top executives in Shanghai in three years. According to Chinese tech media outlet DeepTech, the forum will feature news of TSMC’s latest technological advancements, including progress in 2-nanometer technology and the introduction of new products in its industry-leading 3-nanometer series. According to TSMC’s latest financial report, mainland China accounts for approximately 10% to 15% of TSMC’s revenue, making it the second-largest business region after North America.
