KUALA LUMPUR, 14 JULY: Today, all Cabinet ministers affirmed unanimity in their support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership as Prime Minister of Malaysia.
They made the decision today at the Cabinet’s weekly meeting, according to a statement.
“Members of the Cabinet would also like to point out that the Cabinet makes every government decision together, taking into account the opinions of all parties.”
“At this moment, the government’s top objective is to make the National Recovery Plan (PPN) a success for the people’s welfare and the country’s economy, as well as to get the country out of the Covid-19 pandemic,” according to the statement.
UMNO, which backed Muhyiddin’s Perikatan Nasional (PN) government, recently announced that it will no longer support Muhyiddin as prime minister.
It added, however, that unless otherwise directed, its MPs would continue to support the PN administration.
