WASHINGTON: After the Pentagon terminated the contract, a US judge dismissed Amazon.com’s legal appeal to the US Defense Department’s decision to award a US$10 billion JEDI cloud-computing project to competitor Microsoft Corp in 2019. Amazon.com has accused then-President Donald Trump of putting inappropriate pressure on military personnel in order to direct the contract away from Amazon. The Pentagon said Tuesday it expects Amazon and Microsoft to divide the new multibillion-dollar contract. Amazon did not object to the dismissal of their lawsuit from 2019.
