The US Dollar Index is still consolidating below 92.50.
According to data released by the US Department of Labor (DOL) on Thursday, there were 364,000 initial claims for unemployment benefits in the US during the week ending June 26. This reading was higher than the market’s forecast of 393,000, and it followed a previous reading of 415,000. (revised from 411,000).
The US Dollar Index had no immediate reaction to the news, and was last seen trading at 92.34, with minor daily losses.
