THE REUTERS – Velodyne Lidar Inc announced on Monday that Chief Executive Officer Anand Gopalan will leave the firm at the end of the month, just over a year after taking the lead. Velodyne announced it has established an office of the Chief Executive (OCE), which will be led by multiple members of the senior leadership team, to oversee the company until a replacement is sought.
The departure comes months after the company dismissed founder David Hall as chairman and wife Marta Thoma Hall as marketing chief on the basis of lack of honesty, a claim Marta said the couple was not permitted to refute in what she called a “ambush” board meeting.
