Bloomberg Rising gas prices are hitting Republicans and Democrats in different ways. Bloomberg (Bloomberg) — Although the price of a gallon of gasoline has risen to its highest level in seven years, the once-powerful economic indicator does not appear to be exerting pressure on President Joe Biden’s energy policies – in part because gas prices affect Democrats and Republicans differently. According to the American Automobile Association, the nationwide average was $3.12 per gallon heading into the Fourth of July weekend, when road trips are predicted to hit new highs.
