1 Minute Read by Reuters Staff (Reuters) – SAN JOSE, Calif., June 29 (Reuters) – The World Bank announced on Tuesday that it has approved a $300 million loan for Costa Rica to bolster the Central American country’s attempts to recover from the effects of the pandemic. The loan was sponsored by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), which said in a statement that it was provided for 20 years with a four-year grace period. Costa Rican Finance Minister Elian Villegas said the financial assistance would complement economic and fiscal reforms, particularly those related to the IMF accord.
