KUALA LUMPUR (May 25): Bursa Malaysia ended the morning session marginally higher after trading in range-bound mode as investors’ risk appetite was capped by record Covid-19 fatalities and high daily new infections in the country.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI had eked out a small gain of 0.28 of a point to 1,572.10 from 1,571.82 at yesterday’s close.
The index opened 2.82 points lower at 1,569.
On the broader market, gainers edged past losers 499 to 437, while 375 counters were unchanged, 891 untraded and 32 others suspended.
Total volume stood at 3.99 billion units worth RM1.89 billion.
