KUALA LUMPUR (July 7): Malaysia’s new Covid-19 cases declined to 7,097 today from yesterday’s 7,654, marking the second consecutive day the country reported more than 7,000 cases.

Cumulatively, this brings the total cases in the country to 799,790.

Selangor continued to post more than 3,000 new infections with 3,119 cases reported today, followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,005) and Negeri Sembilan (788).

Other states which recorded three-digit new cases are Melaka (358), Sarawak (289), Pahang (258), Sabah (244), Johor (224), Kedah (198), Penang (140), Perak (187), and Kelantan (123).
