KUCHING (April 12): The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) at Kampung Serpan Laut in Asajaya, about 35 km from here, ended today, earlier than scheduled, said the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) today.
SDMC, in a statement today said the decision was made after no Covid-19 positive cases were recorded among the residents.
Besides, there was no evidence that the infection is still spreading in the area, it said.
SDMC said the government had previously enforced the EMCO in the area from April 8 to April 21.
Meanwhile, Sarawak recorded 351 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative number in the state to 20,352 cases.
