KUALA LUMPUR (May 18): Malaysia’s newly-confirmed Covid-19 cases rose to 4,865 today, from 4,446 detected yesterday, as Selangor recorded the highest number of daily infections among states and federal territories across the country, according to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
Today’s figure brought the cumulative number of cases in the country to 479,421 so far.
In a Twitter update, Noor Hisham said Selangor saw 1,743 infected individuals today. The state reported 1,650 new infections yesterday.
