KUALA LUMPUR (June 8): Information and communications technology hardware distributor MMAG Holdings Bhd has clarified that its recently-acquired chartered flight company, M Jets International Sdn Bhd (M Jets), has obtained the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
The AOC is a prerequisite certificate for M Jets to operate commercial air transport in Malaysia.
“Upon obtaining the AOC, M Jets will commence its business in airline charter flights and air cargo logistics services, and will launch its inaugural air cargo flight in June 2021,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.
In November last year, MMAG acquired an 80% stake in M Jets for RM21.36 million via a shares sale agreement.
