KUALA LUMPUR (March 8): The Naza Group automotive arm has decided to conclude its relationship with Ferrari SpA due to the non-alignment of the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer’s expectations to its strategy.

“In the past few years, the Naza automotive business had reviewed our brand mix to decide on what fits our business strategy,” Naza Group said in a statement.

“The parting of ways with Ferrari is timely for us as it will enable us to focus on our other brands and serves well for our other brands as we will be able to reallocate resources to brands that fit into our automotive business strategy,” it reasoned.

Naza Group assured that it will continue to provide support to Ferrari for a smooth transition of business towards April.

The group expressed its appreciation to Ferrari for its long-standing business relationship and wishes the brand continued success in the future.

Naza Group, via Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, has been the sole distributor of Ferrari vehicles in Malaysia since 2008. The group also distributes the Maserati brand, as well as Ducati and Suzuki brands, according to reports.
